Morning breaks, and the country wakes,
another day we’re free.
Cities wide, and the countryside,
Preserved for you and me.
Urban sprawls, cascading falls,
define our hallowed land,
But honor, true, is shown in you,
protected by your hand.
For the many ways you sacrifice
So that we are safe and free
We give thanks to those
who paid the price
To protect the future for me.
Freedom’s call for great and small
still echoes through the land
Stirs the heart and every part
Like music of a band
Years go by, and the battle cry
Will bring us to our feet.
Hands so strong will right the wrongs,
